Consulting Engineer, Remote Services

As a Consulting Engineer at MongoDB, you will be part of a global team delivering remote consulting services to support the company's worldwide growth plans. Your role will involve less coding and more focus on consulting, architectural designing, high availability system designing, solutioning, migration, optimization, and customer handling. You will work with customers of various sizes and industries, helping them realize their vision, accelerate time to value, and drive adoption scenarios to maximize the benefits of MongoDB. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to migrating customers to MongoDB Atlas from self-hosted MongoDB on-prem/cloud - Assist in customer implementations at different phases of the application lifecycle - Collaborate with fellow consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams - Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to guide MongoDB and customers towards future success - Partner with Product and Engineering teams to shape the MongoDB product roadmap Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of software development/consulting/support experience in diverse industries - Proficiency in at least one of the languages: Java, C++, C#, Python, Node.js, Ruby, Perl, Scala, Go - Experience with databases like MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL - Knowledge of enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and cloud technologies - Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; Windows tuning knowledge is a plus - Willingness to work in monthly rotational shifts to cater to global customers" time zones Additional Details: MongoDB's mission is to empower innovators worldwide by leveraging software and data.
