The Advanced Process Simulation Engineer (APS) role requires a candidate with strong technical capabilities to successfully deliver projects to clients. Your main responsibilities will involve developing Process Models for Simulation projects according to Standards/Guidelines and project requirements. Effective communication skills are essential for technical liaison with clients, creating design documents, managing project execution, and delivering solutions to end user sites. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical engineering from a reputable college or university. Strong fundamentals in Chemical Engineering are a must. Proficiency in implementing Dynamic simulations using commercial OTS software such as Dynsim/UniSim is required. This includes expertise in Process model development using commercial simulation tools and a good understanding of P&IDs. Experience with Steady State Simulation tools like PROII/HYSYS and optimization tools such as ROMeo will be advantageous. Previous experience in APS is also a plus. You should have a total of 5 to 15 years of experience, with hands-on experience in dynamic simulations. Familiarity with various refinery processes and critical process equipment is a desirable skill. Additionally, you should have quick learning abilities to grasp new Process knowledge and stay updated on Engineering and automation technologies relevant to the Process Industry. As part of your responsibilities, you will be expected to lead consultative discussions with customers, including technical and operations personnel. Overall, this role requires a candidate with a solid background in Chemical Engineering, expertise in dynamic simulations, and a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and processes.,
