Consultant Radiologist

• Review and accurately interpret medical images from various modalities, including X-rays, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, Mammography, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Nuclear Medicine.
• Correlate imaging findings with patient medical history, lab results, and other clinical data to formulate a comprehensive diagnosis.
• Generate timely, clear, and detailed written reports of findings and diagnoses for referring physicians.
• Consult and communicate effectively with referring physicians (primary care, specialists, surgeons) to discuss appropriate imaging exams, clarify results, and recommend further evaluation or treatment.
• Communicate sensitive or critical results immediately and directly to the clinical team.
• Perform or direct image-guided diagnostic procedures (e.g., biopsies, fluid drainages) and minimally invasive therapeutic procedures (Interventional Radiology).
• Oversee or administer contrast agents (oral, IV) to enhance diagnostic image quality, ensuring patient safety protocols are followed.
• Ensure optimal performance of imaging equipment and collaborate with medical physicists and technologists to maintain image quality.
• Uphold the highest standards of radiation safety and protection for patients and staff.
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities.
