1.Supervision of Technical Processes and Quality control of Microbiology & Serology.
2.Attending to client queries and complaints pertaining to the Microbiology & Serology.
3.Daily review of Microbiology & Serology reports and ensuring that they meet TAT.
4.Reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures for the section on a regular basis.
5.Maintain contact with Sales and Marketing division to give inputs regarding technical content of various tests.
6.Weekly Group Meeting to analyze problems regarding reviewing, queries, reversal issues, suggestions from team members for improvements and any other issues faced by the departments.
7.Organizing departmental seminar presentations on review-related topics in Microbiology & Serology.
8.Presenting Papers and Invited talks in different National & International level conferences.
9.Managing Doctor Relationship and to resolve Doctor/Consultants queries successfully on priority in Microbiology & Serology.
10. Supervision of On-the-job training to scientific staff.
11. Ensure proper maintenance of material consumption, inventory management and no wastage.
12. Ensuring Quality, Accuracy, Safety and TAT are maintained as per norms.
13. Monitoring of NABL & CAP compliances (SOPs & QCs).
14. Raising of all purchase requisition, material requisition in the section.
15. Monthly analysis of QC data, plan corrective actions & preventive actions for outliners.
16. Involvement in preparation of monthly report of the section.
17. Interacting with doctors, for test ordering practices, clarification and reports and counseling patients whenever circumstances permit.
18. Assigning and deploying the human resource in order to provide timely lab diagnostic services.
19. Participate in CMEs/ Conferences, so that it has an influence on the perception of doctors.
20. Daily review of abnormal results.
21. Directly responsible for the Infection prevention and control program in the hospital’ as one of the responsibilities.
