Role & responsibilities

• Provide expert-level consultation and care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of gastrointestinal disorders.
  
• Perform endoscopic procedures (e.g., colonoscopy, gastroscopy, ERCP) with high proficiency.
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and dietitians to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  
• Participate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives to uphold best practices.
  
• Mentor junior doctors and participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities.
  
• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental protocols and clinical pathways.

Preferred candidate profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with full registration and license to practice.
  
• DM/DNB in Gastroenterology or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification.
  
• Minimum 57 years of post-qualification experience in a reputed healthcare setting.
  
• Proficient in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
  
• Strong clinical acumen, patient-centered approach, and excellent communication skills.
  
• Commitment to continuous learning, teaching, and clinical research (desirable).
  
• Ability to thrive in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
