Consultant - Infrastructure / Network Monitoring

You are seeking a talented Infrastructure & Network Monitoring Engineer to join the Center of Excellence team at YASH Technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the organization's infrastructure, which includes network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, on-prem servers, and conference room setups. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of network systems, server administration, and the necessary tools to ensure uptime and performance. You will play a crucial role in monitoring network infrastructure, servers, and systems utilizing tools like OpManager, SolarWinds, PRTG, or Zabbix. It will be your responsibility to identify and escalate any network or system performance issues to senior engineers, as well as assist in troubleshooting basic connectivity issues and performance degradation. You will document incidents, resolutions, and system health reports following best practices and monitor the health of conference rooms, escalating incidents with collaboration equipment as needed. As part of your role, you will support end-users with basic IT issues related to network access and collaboration tools, ensuring the smooth operation of video conferencing tools like Microsoft Teams. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of system configurations and monitoring activities and collaborate with IT teams to enhance monitoring processes and efficiency. To qualify for this position, you should hold an Associates or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of experience in IT support, network monitoring, or system administration. You should have experience working with network/system monitoring tools such as OpManager, SolarWinds, PRTG, or Zabbix and possess a basic understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and certifications like CompTIA Network+ or ITIL Foundation are preferred but not mandatory.
