Consultant in GI, HPB & Transplant surgery (Entry-level)

Role Overview: As a Consultant in GI, HPB and Transplant Surgery at a multi-speciality hospital in Bengaluru, your responsibilities will include conducting Outpatient clinic sessions, daily rounds on admitted patients in ICU/ward, and being an integral part of the surgical team performing HPB surgery/Liver transplantation. This also involves harvesting cadaveric organs and providing post-operative care, pre-operative consultations, developing treatment plans, mentoring junior medical staff, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team for patient care, and upholding the highest standards of surgical practice and patient safety. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct Outpatient clinic sessions - Perform daily rounds on admitted patients in ICU/ward - Be part of the surgical team conducting HPB surgery/Liver transplantation - Harvest cadaveric organs and provide post-operative care - Provide pre-operative consultations - Develop treatment plans - Mentor junior medical staff - Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team for patient care - Uphold highest standards of surgical practice and patient safety Qualifications: - Recently completed MCh/DrNB GI or HBP surgery OR MS/DNB General surgery with 2-3 years of senior residency - Fellowship training in Transplant Surgery (1-2 years) for candidates who did not have transplant training during their residency - Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills - Ability to develop and manage treatment plans - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team,
