Consultant, Business Analytics Strategy

As a Consultant for HFS Business Analytics & Strategy (BAS) at Northern Trust, a globally recognized financial institution, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the development and planning efforts of the business strategy. Working closely with key business unit and functional leaders, you will collaborate on strategic plans aimed at driving growth, enhancing the brand, and delivering superior performance. You will be part of a small team working with the Omnium services leadership team to create, develop, and maintain key metrics and systems for data analysis and reporting. Strong analytics skills and problem-solving abilities are essential for this role. Your duties will include contributing to the development of key business unit and corporate strategies, utilizing qualitative and quantitative research, analytical thinking, and root-cause analysis to dissect problems. You will assist in the strategy development process for multiple projects and build relationships with business unit leaders to drive strategy completion. Additionally, you will be involved in discussions with internal and external stakeholders to identify market opportunities and drive strategic alignment. To excel in this role, you must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to derive insights from data, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Visio, SharePoint, and Power BI. A minimum of 7 years of experience in leveraging visualization capabilities using Microsoft Office tools is required. Experience with Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate is highly beneficial. A College or University degree and/or relevant work experience is preferred for this role, along with industry qualifications such as ACCA.
