About the Role: Lead, drive and oversee all civil engineering works required for the DRI plant development, including earthworks, grading, roads, buildings,U/G systems, drainage, and foundations. Validate all civil design concepts, ensuring suitability for heavy industrial structures, and aligning with local codes and global engineering standards. Support engineering review, manage interface with the project engineering firm and internal stakeholders to manage end-to-end activities. Role & responsibilities Ensure adherence to agreed schedule of deliverables Anticipate, flag and make mitigation plans in advance in case of schedule deviations Contribute towards effective and timely resolution of technical challenges arising during the course of engineering Ensure optimised design Review site development plans, including cut-fill, grading, road access, and drainage layouts. Validate design of foundations for process equipment, storage tanks, and auxiliary buildings. Ensure compliance with geotechnical investigation findings and structural load requirements. Evaluate constructability and recommend optimizations for site layout and construction sequencing. Oversee storm water management, erosion control, and road pavement designs. Review and approve vendor packages for civil construction works. Coordinate with structural and modularization teams to ensure alignment of interfaces. Support permitting processes by ensuring civil engineering compliance with regional regulations. Address site queries, technical deviations, and NCRs during engineering and construction phases. Follow up and coordinate with engineering companies to ensure On time delivery of Engineering. Work on optimisation of Engg efforts and Quantities. KPIs Quality of Engg, On time Deliverables and Optimisation of Quantities. Preferred candidate profile: Bachelors or Masters in Civil Engineering. Minimum 30 years of experience in heavy industrial plant civil engineering (steel, petrochemical, power plants). Experience with soil-structure interaction, pile foundations, and large-scale earthworks. Knowledge of local and international codes and geotechnical principles. Experience in field execution, QA/QC, and interface management. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, STAAD Foundation, or similar tools. Preference will be given to retired professionals from the same background. Contract Terms: Contract Duration: 2 years, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.
