Construction Project Manager

As a Construction Project Manager (Fiber) in Melbourne, your role involves planning, coordinating, overseeing, and inspecting new, rebuild, and upgrade construction projects related to Fiber and HFC technologies with both in-house and subcontractor crews. You will also be responsible for performing field engineering tasks, collaborating with network drafters/designers, and ensuring efficient route designs and cost estimates are in place. Your key responsibilities include: - Coordinating access and ROW agreements as necessary - Managing permitting and pole applications, joint-trenching, and make-ready for utility poles - Acting as the company representative in field meetings with other utility and state/local entities - Inspecting networks to ensure backbone availability for product deployments - Ensuring compliance with customer standards, processes, and procedures for network design and deployment - Estimating network construction costs, preparing budgets, and tracking expenses - Coordinating customer implementation activities, including site walk-throughs and subcontract labor - Overseeing invoices from in-house and sub-contractor crews and handling billing processes - Managing material inventory, quantifying orders, and issuing equipment/materials to crews - Assigning daily tasks to the project team effectively In terms of qualifications, you should have: - 5+ years of experience in Telecommunications OSP infrastructure design and construction - Proficiency in Fiber and HFC infrastructure design and construction principles - Ability to work efficiently in customer systems and databases - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Intermediate proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications - Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills - Ability to prioritize tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail Joining this role will require your dedication to overseeing construction projects, ensuring quality standards, and effectively managing project teams to deliver successful outcomes.,
