Construction Project Manager (Fibre)

As a Construction Project Manager (Fiber) in Melbourne, your role involves planning, coordinating, overseeing, and inspecting new, rebuild, and upgrade construction projects related to Fiber and HFC technologies. Your essential position functions include: - Working with in-house and subcontractor crews to execute construction projects efficiently. - Performing field engineering activities and collaborating with Network drafters/designers for route designs and cost estimates. - Coordinating access and right-of-way agreements when necessary. - Handling permitting, pole applications, joint-trenching, and make-ready for utility poles. - Serving as the company representative in field meetings with utility and local entities. - Inspecting networks to ensure readiness for product deployments. - Ensuring compliance with customer standards and procedures for network design and deployment. - Estimating construction costs, preparing budgets, and tracking expenses. - Managing customer implementation activities, subcontract labor, and invoices. - Supervising material inventory and assigning daily tasks to the project team. In terms of education and experience, you are required to have: - 5+ years of experience in Telecommunications OSP infrastructure design and construction. - Proficiency in Fiber and HFC infrastructure design and construction principles. - Ability to work effectively in customer systems and databases. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. - Intermediate proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. - Capacity to prioritize tasks, work accurately, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
