Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Coordinate with HVAC, PHE, and Electrical contractors for on-site execution of MEP systems.
  • Interpret construction drawings and oversee the execution of MEP works in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and monitor contractor performance to ensure adherence to approved IFC drawings.
  • Manage and maintain all MEP systems at the site, including lighting, heating, ventilation, and power systems.

  • Prepare and review plans, specifications, and cost estimates for HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Firefighting systems.
  • Design mechanical and electrical systems including schematics, BOQs, and layout drawings using tools like AutoCAD.
  • Ensure designs comply with local and international codes, standards, and sustainability guidelines (LEED, WELL, Net Zero).
  • Participate in design collaboration meetings with consultants and internal stakeholders.
  • Review DBRs, technical specifications, and construction drawings to ensure alignment with project standards

  • Supervise testing and commissioning of all mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Manage inspection, preventive maintenance, and defect tracking programs for MEP services.
  • Provide timely responses to RFIs and site queries; resolve technical issues proactively.
  • Approve material submittals and ensure installation aligns with approved makes and specifications.

  • Maintain and update design trackers, performance logs, site communication records, and contractor submissions.
  • Prepare tender packages, assist in procurement, and support in technical evaluation and vendor selection.
  • Collaborate with procurement and site teams for smooth project execution and close-out.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and MS Office
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical systems (HV/LV), fire alarm systems
  • Familiarity with energy management, cable sizing, and sustainability-focused designs

  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving on site
  • Ability to lead technicians and interface with consultants, contractors, and internal teams

  • LEED AP / WELL Accredited / PMP
  • Safety or quality management certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO standards)
