The role of a Senior Geotechnical Engineer specialized in Port and Marine structures involves leading and executing advanced design projects, particularly in the areas of Port and Marine structures. As a Senior Geotechnical Expert, you will be responsible for utilizing your deep expertise to support and lead geotechnical design and analysis projects. Your role will require a combination of technical acumen, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to deliver high-impact solutions in various infrastructure domains. Your key responsibilities will include leading and executing advanced Port and Marine structure design projects, including conducting FEM analyses using Plaxis 2D/3D software. You will also be responsible for developing and applying constitutive soil models for accurate ground behavior simulation, interpreting and integrating ground characterization data into modeling workflows, preparing technical reports and presentations, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across geotechnical, structural, and marine engineering. To qualify for this role, you should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering with a focus on Port and Marine structures. You should possess proven expertise in Plaxis 2D and 3D, a strong understanding of constitutive laws and soil-structure interaction, and broad experience in modeling various geotechnical structures. Additionally, you should have solid knowledge of ground investigation and characterization techniques, excellent report writing and communication skills in English, demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities, and preferably experience with MIDAS. Proficiency in coding/scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation and data processing would be considered a plus.
