Responsibilities: Create high-quality, photorealistic composites using Nuke (or equivalent software). Combine live-action, CG elements, matte paintings, and other assets into seamless final shots. Work closely with the VFX supervisor, leads, and production team to ensure shots meet the creative vision. Maintain consistent quality while meeting project deadlines. Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges during compositing. Requirements: 12 years of proven compositing experience in a studio environment. As a Paint/Prep Artist in the VFX Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high visual standards of our projects. Your primary responsibility will be to perform paint and prep tasks to deliver clean, seamless shots for high-end film, OTT, and commercial projects. Working closely with compositors, roto artists, and supervisors, you will collaborate to prepare and clean plates efficiently. Key Responsibilities: - Perform paint and prep tasks such as rig/wire removal, marker cleanup, plate restoration, beauty clean-up, and object removal. - Create clean plates and seamless paint fixes using a blend of 2D and 3D techniques. - Collaborate with compositing and roto departments to ensure production-ready plates. - Maintain shot continuity and consistency across sequences. - Optimize and troubleshoot paint/prep scripts for efficiency and performance. - Adhere to the studio's color pipeline and file-naming conventions. - Meet project deadlines while upholding visual quality standards. Required Skills & Experience: - Proficiency in Nuke is mandatory. - Strong understanding of Roto, Tracking, and Plate Preparation workflows. - Experience with 2D and 3D projections, warping, and paint node techniques. - Ability to independently handle complex cleanup tasks. - Familiarity with camera projections, grain management, and color space workflows. - Minimum 3 years of production experience in a VFX studio (freshers with strong demo reels may apply).
