The 3D Hydraulic modeler (CFD) W&E Applications position at Flow Science Software Pvt Ltd (Pune) requires a candidate with experience in open channel flow modeling. The ideal candidate will work as part of a team to expand and support the customer base of FLOW-3D users in water and environmental applications. Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and open channel flow principles, along with prior hydraulic modeling experience using 1D, 2D methods for open channel applications is necessary. Experience with 3D/CFD modeling, as well as strong 3D CAD and GIS skills, are highly desired. Exceptional oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education and Work Experience: - Civil/environmental engineering or related engineering degree with emphasis on open channel hydraulics - 2+ years of related work experience - Experience and expertise in conventional or industry standard modeling techniques and software - Knowledge and experience of related processes or systems (e.g., sediment transport, coastal modeling, or municipal systems) desired - Good communication skills - Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail - Ability to work both individually and as part of a team Principal tasks and responsibilities include providing subject matter expertise in water and environmental analyses, identifying appropriate data for validation, assisting customers with simulation set-up and troubleshooting, teaching classes on applied CFD to FLOW-3D users, identifying growth opportunities for FLOW-3D applications, and representing Flow Science India at conferences and tradeshows.,

This role is based in Australia. The research group of Associate Professor Jarryd Pla is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow to join their team. As a Post-Doctoral Fellow, you will be responsible for conducting simulations, design work, and experimental research on superconducting quantum devices. The focus will be on developing techniques to facilitate signal detection from microwave quantum technologies, particularly quantum computers, at higher temperatures. This will enable the use of more affordable refrigeration systems for these technologies. Reporting directly to Associate Professor Jarryd Pla, this role does not involve managing direct reports. The salary for this position is Level A - $110,059 to $117,718 per annum plus 17% superannuation. It is a full-time position on a fixed-term contract starting ASAP until March 2028. The location for this role is in Kensington, Sydney, Australia. UNSW is a research-intensive university known for its diverse and talented community. The School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications (EE&T) at UNSW is a prestigious institution with a long history of contributions to electrical engineering. With approximately 1300 students and 40 academic staff, the School is committed to excellence in education and research. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a PhD in Physics, Quantum Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. They should have a strong track record in operating quantum devices, especially at microwave frequencies and millikelvin temperatures. Experience in the fabrication and/or operation of superconducting quantum devices is advantageous. The candidate should also demonstrate expertise in performing microwave measurements on quantum devices and characterizing their performance. Key responsibilities include working with dilution refrigerators and variable temperature insert systems, keeping up to date with advancements in the field, conducting high-quality academic research independently, and collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
