As a Scientist - Research & Development (Downstream Process Development) at Immuneel, you will be responsible for leading the downstream process development for viral vectors. Your key deliverables will include driving projects through process development towards global IND applications. You should have a strong understanding of filtration, concentration, and chromatography processes, along with experience in Biologics with brief exposure to Viral Vectors. Your primary objectives will involve upstream process development for viral vectors, technology transfer of upstream processes, and associated documentation. You will also be responsible for coordination with CMO/CDMO for the supply of research and GMP grade materials, preparation of SOPs/EOPs/Work Instructions, data compilation, technical troubleshooting, and collaborating with Application Scientists and Engineers. To excel in this role, you must possess technical competencies such as expertise in bioprocess technology, handling cell stacks and single-use bioreactors, experience in handling specific cell types like HEK293 T cells, and understanding of CQA and CPP. Soft skills like project planning, resource management, collaboration, and willingness to learn are also crucial. Ideally, you should hold an M.Tech. or PhD in Science with experience in product development. This full-time onsite role will require you to work either in the General Shift (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM) or the Post-Noon Shift (2:00 PM to 11:00 PM on a rotational basis), with two days off per week. Travel requirements may vary, and the base location will be at Immuneel Therapeutics Private Limited in Bangalore.
