As a Technical Support Specialist at The Westin Gurgaon New Delhi, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing technical issues related to computer hardware and peripheral equipment. You will respond to program error messages, identify and correct problems, and provide technical guidance to resolve business issues. In case of major hardware/software problems, you will refer them to vendors or technicians for service. It will be your responsibility to operate computer and peripheral equipment by entering commands and controls, integrating and maintaining hardware and software, including peripherals like printers and scanners, as well as website technical architecture related to hardware and telecommunication connectivity. Additionally, you will report any work-related accidents or injuries immediately to your manager or supervisor. You will be proactive in identifying and correcting unsafe work procedures or conditions, reporting them to management and security/safety personnel. Following property-specific procedures for handling emergency situations, such as evacuations or medical emergencies, will also be part of your role. Effective communication with fellow employees, both in person and electronically, will be essential. You should be able to read and verify information in various formats, visually inspect tools and equipment for defects, and enter and locate work-related information using computers and point of sale systems. Physical requirements may include reaching overhead, bending, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and performing other reasonable job duties as assigned by Supervisors. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Previous related work experience is not required, and there is no supervisory experience or specific license or certification necessary for this role.
