Position Title - Graduate Engineer Trainee/ Assistant Engineer/ Jr. Engineer/ Engineer Experience- 4 months to 2 yrs relevant experience in Mechanical maintenance or consider Foundry/Casting company (Metal/Copper/Steel/Iron etc.) Department - Mechanical Maintenance Location - Near Kadi, Gujarat Preferred Location - Only Gujarat Objective To support the mechanical maintenance team in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities across casting, rolling, and utility equipment. The GET will undergo structured training and gain hands-on experience in plant operations, equipment reliability, and safety compliance. Key Responsibilities Training & Learning Participate in on-the-job training across various maintenance domains. Understand plant equipment such as DC Casters, Rolling Mills, Gearboxes, Compressors, and Utilities. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Assist in executing preventive maintenance (PM) checklists under supervision. Learn condition monitoring techniques like vibration analysis and thermography. BreakdoShutdown wn Support Support senior engineers during emergency repairs. Observe and document root cause analysis (RCA) procedures. Equipment Handling Help in inspection and servicing of mechanical systems. Learn about hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and their maintenance. Safety & Compliance Follow safety protocols including LOTO, PPE usage, and confined space entry. Maintain safety records and participate in toolbox talks. Documentation & Reporting Assist in updating maintenance logs, history cards, and SAP PM entries. Learn to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MTTR, MTBF, and equipment availability. Shutdown & Project Support Participate in shutdown planning and execution. Coordinate with stores and vendors under guidance. As the complete in-charge of total Plant Maintenance at Gummidipoondi Lehry Industries, you will be responsible for overseeing both Mechanical and Electrical maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of the plant. Your primary goal will be to prevent plant stoppages due to maintenance negligence by planning and executing both Predictive and Periodic maintenance work schedules well in advance. It is crucial to minimize breakdown downtime and aim for zero breakdowns by maintaining minimum Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time To Failures (MTTF), and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF). You will need to prioritize all statutory requirements and maintain relevant records for various proposed certifications. Additionally, you will be required to plan, monitor, and follow up on critical spares for all machineries to avoid breakdowns at any cost. Special attention should be given to service equipment such as Compressors, Gen sets, Cooling Tower, Pumps, and Motors to ensure proper maintenance. Keeping the Company side Transformer area, Control Panel Box room, and various Distribution Boards in order is essential. Daily monitoring of power consumption readings, consumed watts, and Power Factor (PF) should be tabulated and maintained without fail. Regular liaison with Electricity Board officials as and when required is necessary to maintain good relationships. You will directly report to the Director of Product Development, Mr. Hussain Lehry. Fluency in English communication and writing is preferred, and a background in Mechanical Engineering is desirable.
