Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Operate and monitor
tablet compression machines
as per production schedule and SOPs.
Set up machines by ensuring correct tooling installation, parameters, and batch changeover.
Conduct
in-process checks
such as weight variation, hardness, thickness, friability, and appearance.
Maintain proper documentation like BMR/BPR, logbooks, and online records as per
cGMP
requirements.
Ensure continuous machine operation with minimal downtime and timely troubleshooting of minor issues.
Perform cleaning of equipment before and after batch operations as per CIP/SIP guidelines.
Coordinate with QA, Maintenance, and Production teams to ensure smooth batch execution.
Follow safety protocols, hygiene standards, and maintain 5S in the workspace.
Support in achieving target output, yield improvement, and reduction of process deviations.
Report any machine abnormalities, breakdowns, or quality issues to the supervisor.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification:
ITI / Diploma / B.Sc / B.Pharm
or relevant technical background.
Experience:
14 years
of experience in
OSD (Oral Solid Dosage) Compression
operations.
Hands-on experience with tablet compression machines (e.g., Cadmach, Korsch, Fette, Elite, etc.).
Good understanding of
cGMP, SOPs, documentation practices, and safety protocols
.
Ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues and handle batch changeovers efficiently.
Willingness to work in
rotational shifts
.
Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to quality standards.
Experience in fast-paced pharma manufacturing environment preferred.
