Role & responsibilities Design and develop sheet metal components and enclosures for composting machines. Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD . Collaborate with production, R&D, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability. Optimize existing products for cost, strength, ease of assembly, and performance. Create detailed technical documentation including BOMs, tolerance analysis, and material specifications. Stay updated with the latest industry standards, tools, and innovations in mechanical and environmental engineering. Conduct design reviews and provide creative solutions to product challenges. Preferred candidate profile Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD Strong experience with sheet metal design and fabrication processes Solid understanding of GD&T, DFM, and material selection Knowledge of manufacturing practices like laser cutting, bending, welding, etc. Familiarity with solid waste management equipment or mechanical machinery is a big plus Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 6-10 years of hands-on design experience in a relevant industry
