Job Description

As a Press Tool Designer at Schneider Electric, your role will involve designing press tools (stage and progressive tools) for electrical and automotive applications. Your key responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with R&D, NPI/LCM, and customers for feasibility studies and part refinement - Developing tooling concepts, strips layouts, tool sequencing, and operation sequencing - Performing tool design calculations and developing designs and drafting in 3D CAD - Applying CAE to validate tool element reliability - Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure tool designs are feasible and cost-effective To excel in this role, you should have the following functional competencies: - Proven experience as a Press Tool Designer in cutting and forming operations, specifically in stage and progressive tooling - Proficiency in CREO and CAE software for Press Tools - Knowledge of high-speed tooling and in-die assembly will be an added advantage - In-depth knowledge of presses, press part production processes, and ferrous and non-ferrous materials Qualifications required for this position include: - Education: Diploma in Mechanical or Tool & Die Making - Experience: Less than 5 years - Critical Skills: Press tool Design / Ansys - Location: Mumbai Schneider Electric aims to create an inclusive and caring work environment where all employees feel valued and safe to contribute their best.
