Join us as a Commercial and Technology lawyer at Barclays where you will be part of our Global Commercial, Innovation and Technology (CIT) Legal team that provides a range of legal services and advice across the Barclays Group at the cutting edge of law, innovation, and regulation. You will advise on various commercial and technology agreement work-types - supplier, client, and partner facing, including regulatory aspects. Partnering with stakeholders like Barclays Procurement and Technology teams and front-line business teams will be a key aspect of your role. As a dynamic, qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister, or similar in India) with relevant post-qualification experience, you should possess strong technical knowledge and expertise in general commercial/technology agreements. Experience in negotiating and advising on agreements such as software licenses, hardware and software maintenance, SaaS, cloud services, sponsorship, professional services, data and index licensing, and PoCs will be valuable. The role, based in Pune, aims to ensure that commercial, innovation, technology, real estate, sponsorship, data licensing, and service activities are conducted in compliance with laws and regulations. Accountabilities include developing and implementing best practice legal strategies, providing legal advice and support, representation in legal proceedings, creation and review of legal documents, legal research and analysis, training programmers, and pro-active identification and provision of legal advice on applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Assistant Vice President Expectations involve advising and influencing decision-making, contributing to policy development, operational effectiveness, leadership responsibilities, and demonstrating leadership behaviors. For individual contributors, leading collaborative assignments, guiding team members, consulting on complex issues, mitigating risks, developing new policies/procedures, managing risk, collaborating with other areas, engaging in complex data analysis, and communicating complex information effectively.
