Description
As a Compliance Engineer in Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in contributing to planning, completing, reporting, and managing internal audits across all areas of the business. You will be responsible for making recommendations and suggestions to staff, process owners, and the board of directors where necessary. Additionally, you will be tasked with creating, defining, and improving processes and procedures in alignment with industry standards and audit requirements. Your primary responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and maintaining internal audit policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations, legal requirements, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and other applicable standards. You will work closely with the compliance manager to administer processes and procedures, ensuring adherence to the regulatory framework and minimizing risks. Staying up-to-date with legal and regulatory information relevant to business operations will be essential, as well as auditing and monitoring data, systems, and processes for compliance. You will be actively involved in planning and executing information security awareness programs, preparing for and participating in internal and external vendor audits, and providing detailed reporting on the conformity of management systems to legal and regulatory requirements. Constant communication with internal stakeholders to gather necessary evidence and organize it effectively will be part of your routine, along with identifying opportunities for improving the effectiveness of management systems. Producing comprehensive reports for all audits conducted, including audit criteria, scope, deficiencies, non-conformities, required corrective actions, responsible parties, and target dates for follow-up audits, will be a key aspect of your role. Monitoring the progress of corrective actions and assisting in the preparation of new documentation or updates to existing ones will also fall under your purview. Compliance with legal, regulatory, contractual, and business requirements will be paramount in all your activities. To be successful in this role, you should possess a mandatory qualification as an ISO 27001:2013 Internal Auditor (Good to have), a good understanding of international standards, basic technical knowledge of information security concepts, and 3-5 years of experience in compliance-related activities. Strong interpersonal skills, familiarity with industry standards like ITIL, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and a proactive attitude towards teamwork are also essential characteristics for this position.,
