Compliance Analyst I (Financial Crime /Sanction Functions)

As a member of the Sanctions team within the Global Financial Crimes (GFC) program at FIS, you will play a key role in supporting the Senior Director to establish a strong tech and data knowledge base, as well as assist in system implementations across Global Financial Crimes Compliance. Your responsibilities will include writing documentation on sanctions workflows, standards, guidelines, testing procedures, taxonomies, and operating procedures. You will also be tasked with developing and optimizing complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large volumes of financial data to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive data lineage documentation, contributing to the development and maintenance of master data management processes, and generating regular reporting on Financial Crimes Data Governance KPIs, metrics, and activities. Your role will involve monitoring LOB compliance activities, verifying regulatory compliance deadlines are met, and tracking product data compliance deficiencies to completion. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering, along with 1-3 years of experience in the regulatory compliance field. Previous experience as a Data Analyst in the financial services industry, particularly with a focus on Financial Crimes Compliance, is highly desirable. Proficiency in SQL, data analysis tools, and experience with data governance practices is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are key to success in this position. If you have experience in regulatory oversight of high-risk product lines containing complex banking functions or are considered a subject matter expert in sanctions regulatory compliance, it would be considered an added bonus.
