As the Project Engineering Team Leader for the Transformers Business at Hitachi Energy in Maneja, Vadodara, India, you will be a key member of a team dedicated to leveraging innovative technology to transform energy and deliver social, environmental, and economic value. Your role will involve overseeing a group of Electrical Designers/Engineers to provide high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions for customers. Your responsibilities will include taking technical oversight of work within your area of responsibility, managing technical issues, defining operating guidelines, and developing strategies for your team. You will ensure that the team identifies and satisfies customer needs, drives process development based on feedback, and provides engineering support during the bid phase. Additionally, you will be responsible for contractual oversight within your area, ensuring proper allocation of assignments and tasks, creating work plans and cost estimates, and proactively managing the engineering team to deliver programs on time, on quality, and within budget. Continuous improvement activities, implementation of processes, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency, and alignment of local procedures with company policies will also be part of your role. To succeed in this position, you must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, possess at least 5 years of industry experience in leading electrical/mechanical project engineering related to Power Transformers and Shunt Reactors, and have familiarity with 3D CAD and productivity tools. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential.
