As an Industrial Mechanical Engineer - Technology, you will be required to have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed Polytechnic along with 5 to 7 years of experience in plant/machines construction. A good command of written and spoken English is necessary, and knowledge of German is considered an advantage. You should be able to follow verbal and written work instructions and troubleshoot problems effectively. The role also involves frequent travel abroad. Your responsibilities will include having knowledge and experience in welding and non-destructive testing methods, as well as proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics. Experience in pipeline construction, assembly, and adjustment of various components such as butterfly valves, compensators, pumps, and sensors is essential. You should possess the ability to complete tube bending and forming from schematic diagrams and utilize basic hand tools, electronic, and pneumatic tooling. It is crucial for you to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, schematics, layouts/P&I diagrams, and technical documentation. Practical knowledge of measurement instruments is a must, preferably with a background in Mechanical from the machine building and/or instrumentation field. Being self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, and having the assertiveness to work under pressure and think creatively are key attributes for this role. Your job responsibilities will involve executing refurbishment of calibration rigs worldwide, working closely with electricians, assembling mechanical components in calibration rigs, and ensuring their proper function and fit. You will be tasked with setting up and adjusting rigs and measuring equipment, aligning high-precision calibration scales, performing machine repairs and maintenance, and welding pipe sections. Adhering to a strict work schedule and being open to working overtime when necessary are also expected in this role. Furthermore, having global exposure in interacting with clients from different nationalities is considered an added advantage.
