We are hiring an experienced Domain Tester with 610 years of experience for a 6-month full-time engagement in Bangalore. The role involves testing upstream oil & gas applications (e.g., EDT applications) and requires a solid understanding of well engineering concepts such as drilling techniques, well control, fluids management, and well performance analysis. Experience with tools like WellCat, Wellplan, Compass and test management tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA is preferred. The tester will work closely with SMEs and the agile development team to write, execute, and maintain test cases across all testing stagessmoke, functional, integration, regression, UAT, etc. Exposure to automation frameworks is an advantage.

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer with 35 years of hands-on experience in Python scripting and GUI test automation using the Squish testing framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of test automation best practices and a proactive approach to test case design and maintenance. Experience in the healthcare domain or familiarity with medical device testing is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Squish. Collaborate with developers and QA teams to understand application functionality and identify automation opportunities. Execute and monitor automated test runs, analyze failures, and report defects using tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, Compass). Maintain and improve automation frameworks to enhance scalability and performance. Participate in test planning, estimation, and documentation processes. Ensure quality and traceability standards are met for regulated environments (e.g., ISO 13485 if in medical device projects). Required Skills: Strong programming experience in Python. Proficient with Squish test automation tool for GUI applications. Experience in automating desktop, web, or Qt-based applications. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), test management tools. Good understanding of SDLC and STLC, and agile methodologies. Good to Have: Exposure to the healthcare domain (e.g., PACS, DICOM, HL7, or medical imaging systems). Experience in testing embedded systems or medical devices. Experience in performance testing or security testing. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Bachelor or Master Degree from a recognized university in petroleum, Geophysics, Geology or chemical engineering with minimum GPA 7.5 and above Min 2 yrs. of QA experience (Experience with Oil and Gas Upstream applications preferred) Good understanding of upstream applications. (Preferred: EDT Applications) Knowledge of one or more of the basic wells engineering concepts including: o Well construction drilling techniques, well control, fluids property management, drilling mechanics, performance monitoring o Well completions completion designs, well performance analysis, Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, Wellplan, Compass will be an advantage. Basic understanding of Framework creation using any of the Automation tool. The candidate will provide testing and support for the Drilling and well plan product developed by our client. The candidate has to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and his/her technical expertise will be critical to product success. Requirements: Bachelors degree in petroleum engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in upstream oil and gas operations predominantly in Well Design, Well planning etc... Good understanding of Well Lifecycle Good understanding of Drilling processes like trajectory design, well planning, BHA, tubular design, etc Working Experience with COMPASS or tools equivalent to COMPASS is a must A good understanding of Software Testing databases is a plus Well Engineer who worked on the Drilling Design phase from the Company office
