Commvault

The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting Commvault backup environments, performing regular backups, test restores, and health checks of Commvault servers. Additionally, you will maintain managed Commvault and Hyperscale backup operations, monitor backup jobs and health infrastructure, and ensure high availability and performance of backup systems. As part of your role, you will handle escalated issues from L1/L2 teams and resolve them within SLA timelines. You will lead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes, monitor and maintain system health and performance, and create and maintain technical documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Providing detailed case summaries and reports will also be a key aspect of the role. You will work closely with internal and customer teams to resolve issues and participate in on-call rotation for critical issue support. In terms of team management, you will be responsible for resourcing by forecasting talent requirements as per current and future business needs, hiring adequate and right resources for the team, and training direct reportees to make right recruitment and selection decisions. Talent management will involve ensuring 100% compliance to Wipro's standards of adequate onboarding and training for team members to enhance capability & effectiveness, building an internal talent pool of HiPos, promoting diversity in leadership positions, and setting goals for direct reportees, conducting timely performance reviews and appraisals, and giving constructive feedback. Employee satisfaction and engagement will also be a focus, where you will lead and drive engagement initiatives for the team, track team satisfaction scores, identify initiatives to build engagement within the team, challenge the team with larger and enriching projects/initiatives, and exercise employee recognition and appreciation.
