As an Apple System RF team Radio Frequency (RF) System Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing RF automation testing systems used on Apple's products for Cellular technology. You will become part of a hands-on development team that furthers engineering perfection, creativity, and innovation. Dynamic, encouraging people and innovative technologies are the norm here. Your role will involve supporting multiple products by authoring scalable software and applying strong engineering fundamentals. You will contribute to a multi-faceted software suite based on C/C++ and analyze RF performance in conjunction with multi-functional teams to identify and root cause RF issues. Your responsibilities will include optimizing L1 software for performance and memory utilization on embedded DSP platforms, collaborating with Systems and Test teams for unit and system tests, and engaging with customers for feature enhancements and R&D support. To excel in this role, you should hold a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related field with at least 6 years of professional experience. Your expertise should encompass 4+ years of developing L1 software for Mobile Wireless Standards like 5GNR, LTE, WiMAX, and WCDMA/HSPA+. Previous experience in DSP L1 software implementation for 5G-NR or LTE will be advantageous. Your proficiency in various aspects of L1 software delivery, including real-time implementation, debugging, system testing, validation, and software qualification, will be essential. Additionally, your skills in SW partitioning, algorithm benchmarking, optimization for DSP and CPU processing, and familiarity with C++/C/Assembly, Real-time OS, and embedded programming concepts are crucial. An understanding of 3GPP Wireless Standards such as 5G NR, LTE, WCDMA/HSPA+ and advanced system features is highly desired. Experience with test equipment like Signal Generators, VSA, Logic Analyzers, and a solid background in Communications Theory and Signal Processing will be beneficial for this role. You should possess excellent multitasking abilities, effective interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in our fast-paced environment.
