Technical capabilities: Proficiency in using C, C++, ADA programming languages for embedded software development. Familiarity with various microcontrollers and processors (ARM, AVR, PIC etc) & experience with low-level programming and hardware interfacing. Hands on experience using real-time operating systems like FreeRTOS, VxWorks or RTEMS. Knowledge of communication protocols and interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, MILSTD-1553, CAN bus, Space Wire. Knowledge of embedded software design architectures and best practices & experience with optimizing code for performance and memory usage. Experience with integrated development environments (IDEs) - Keil, IAR Embedded Workbench, & proficiency in using version control tools such as Git or SVN. Proficiency in debugging embedded software using tools such as JTAG, GDB, or incircuit emulators & strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving software issues. Hands on experience in using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting. Comprehensive understanding of SDLC models, software quality aspects and documentation. Knowledge of implementing redundancy and fault management strategies to ensure high reliability. Knowledge of networking protocols relevant to embedded systems, such as TCP/IP, MQTT, or other IoT protocols. Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies for project management and development.
