Commodity Manager Electronics & Electrical

The Commodity Manager Electronics & Electrical is responsible for developing and implementing a commodity strategy for Electronics & Electrical sub-commodities such as PCBA, Encoders, Temp Sensors, Wire Harness, etc. You will lead quote activities for new and current business, considering global spend for all suppliers, and consistently send out and review complete RFQ packages. You will identify opportunities for global leverage of volumes and purchasing power, along with coordinating supplier selection and leading supplier transitions. Working with other functions, you will identify and select qualified competitive and competent suppliers for worldwide distribution. Your role will involve working on cost reduction activities in line with global and regional material cost reduction targets. You will formulate annual business plans for achieving cost reductions and year-over-year performance metrics, including price, delivery, and quality standards. Additionally, you will negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers based on cost analysis, market research, and supplier assessment. As the Commodity Manager, you should possess project management acumen to control multiple projects, meet program timing, and anticipate and resolve roadblocks for successful part PPAP and launch. You will hold regular performance review meetings with key stakeholders, monitor supplier performance, audit results, and address issues within the suppliers" organization for resolution. Furthermore, you will be responsible for reporting in line with Dana's scheme of material performance and budget reporting frequency and procedures. You will track savings projects, report accurate forecasts and actuals in the Savings Tracker, and understand supplier surcharge mechanisms. In addition to these responsibilities, you should be able to lead Benchmarking, VA/VE, Lean, Resourcing, LPP analysis, Value Stream mapping events independently or with minimal assistance. You will promote cost reduction activities with key suppliers, share best practices, and present special assignment results and project updates to Dana management as required. Possessing leadership skills to lead a team of buyers/SDE engineers will be beneficial in this role.,
