Job Summary:

The Commis Chef 1 is responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, and ensuring high standards of hygiene and food quality. This is an entry-level chef position ideal for individuals looking to build a career in professional cooking.

Requirements:

Experience needed of 2-3 years

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food under supervision of senior chefs.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations according to health and safety standards.
• Follow recipes, portion control guidelines, and presentation standards.
• Support with basic food prep tasks (e.g., chopping vegetables, making sauces, prepping meats).
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to senior chefs.
