As a Civil Engineering Professional at WSP, you will play a vital role in contributing to engineering design within a team environment on projects ranging from small to large-scale. Your expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D will be utilized throughout various project stages, from concept to completion. You will actively participate in the development of engineering drawings, including concept, preliminary, and detailed designs, encompassing a wide range of elements such as general and drainage plan drawings, plan/profile drawings, utility section drawings, and detail drawings. Your responsibilities will also include completing design activities to specified standards, such as earthworks modeling and design, sanitary and storm sewer design, watermain design, grading of roads and drive aisles, as well as lot, plot grading, and stormwater management design of ponds. Additionally, you will support cost-engineering design reviews, quantity take-offs, and the preparation of Form of Tenders for contracts. Key competencies and skills required for this role include holding an Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program, along with 3 to 8 years of experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting and design. You should have experience in grading of plot, lot, and commercial sites, pre/post stormwater assessment based on grading, design/modeling of wet utility networks, and knowledge of utility clash analysis using Navisworks. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the ability to perform hydraulic designs, will be essential.
