As the Commercial Manager, your primary objective is to lead and direct the company's pre-contract and post-contract commercial functions. Your role involves ensuring the preparation of accurate and competitive project tenders, as well as diligently managing all contractual obligations to secure profitable projects and mitigate commercial and contractual risks across all operations. You will be responsible for the estimation and tendering management process. This includes leading the preparation and submission of all project tenders to ensure competitiveness and commercial viability. You will oversee the detailed analysis of project drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for accurate cost estimations, as well as direct the value engineering process to provide cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and design integrity. Maintaining a robust database of costing information, supplier rates, and productivity norms will also be essential. In terms of contracts administration and governance, you will serve as the primary authority for reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing all client and subcontractor contract documents to identify and mitigate potential risks. Managing the complete contract lifecycle, including variations, extensions of time, and claims preparation and negotiation, will be part of your responsibilities. Ensuring strict compliance with established contractual terms and conditions and providing expert contractual advice and guidance to project execution teams will also be crucial. As a Commercial Manager, you will lead, mentor, and develop the estimation and contracts team, establishing departmental objectives and performance metrics. You will prepare and present detailed commercial reports, cash flow projections, and risk analysis summaries to senior management. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders will also be a key aspect of your role. The ideal candidate for this position must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying. A postgraduate qualification in Construction Management or Contract Law would be highly advantageous. A minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in estimation and contracts management, with significant exposure to the faade, glazing, or specialized construction industry, is required. In-depth knowledge of standard construction contract forms (e.g., FIDIC), tendering processes, and costing principles is essential. Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and risk management skills are also necessary for this role.,
