Our client is seeking an Engagement Manager who possesses a deep empathy for the customer, focusing on building strong relationships to ensure that the customer feels understood and supported throughout their journey. Authenticity is a key trait required for this role, as the candidate must genuinely connect with customers to foster trust and confidence. The ideal candidate should be passionate about delivering value to customers through technology, emphasizing the importance of outcomes over mere technological activities. Values such as prioritizing customer success over personal interests, focusing on outcomes rather than approaches, and maintaining a broad context while narrowing the focus are highly valued in this role. Key Requirements: - Previous experience working for a consulting firm within the last 10 years, including expertise in creating and presenting proposals, negotiating deals, and establishing lasting customer relationships. - Demonstrated empathy towards the target customer profiles, such as CIOs, CTOs, COOs, heads of product, and heads of engineering, in order to establish credibility, relatability, and anticipation of customer needs. - Strong understanding of commercial aspects related to technology, including client budget cycles, funding mechanisms, and return on investment considerations. - Proficiency in leading teams at scale, implementing modern agile and product-led software development practices to drive commercial benefits. - Excellent consulting, communication, and relationship-building skills, adaptable to various situations and stakeholders. - Experience across diverse sectors and domains, showcasing pragmatism, strong leadership, and a structured approach to risk-taking and ambiguity. - Willingness to travel when necessary for client and colleague engagements. The role also involves: - Delivering change to clients, particularly those with complex organizational and technical challenges, by understanding the client's context, defining necessary changes, and ensuring the team is equipped to deliver desired outcomes. - Advocating for client needs within the team, fostering a culture that supports individual growth and performance excellence. - Demonstrating the ability to anticipate client needs, present viable options, and align on effective approaches to drive successful outcomes.
