The Process Engineer role at our organization involves utilizing your specialty area knowledge to monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data. You will be responsible for identifying policy gaps, formulating policies, interpreting data, and making recommendations based on your research and analysis. In this position, you will also be required to research and interpret factual information, identify inconsistencies in data, define business issues, and formulate recommendations on policies, procedures, or practices. As a Process Engineer, you will integrate established disciplinary knowledge within your specialty area with a basic understanding of related industry practices. You will have a good understanding of how your team interacts with others to accomplish the objectives of the area. While your impact on the business may be limited, your role is crucial in ensuring the quality of tasks and services provided within your team. Responsibilities: - Represent the USPB Controls Automation & Optimization team on control-related business projects - Develop and execute data-driven analysis in collaboration with various business partners - Research data sources to clarify and redefine business requirements - Conduct data mining and reporting support for internal and external audit reviews - Drive the development of complex controls, ad-hoc analysis, and reporting - Develop analytical solutions to introduce efficiencies within credit processes and fraud prevention strategies - Validate reporting metrics and calculations to ensure business needs are met - Participate in creating and implementing new/updated control solutions with cross-functional teams - Communicate effectively with Senior Management within supported business area(s) - Evaluate the efficiency of existing information/reporting and suggest improvements - Assume informal/formal leadership roles within the team and participate in coaching and training new team members Qualifications: - Knowledge of Citi USPB business processes and process quality control terminology - 2+ years of experience using SAS, SQL - Experience with UNIX, EDW, TSO, JCL, COMET, COGNOS, VBA, or big data is a plus - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) - Experience with large consortiums of complex data and demonstrated problem-solving skills - Ability to translate business needs into actions and effectively communicate results - Strong interpersonal skills to interact with various levels within the organization Education: - Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field is required or equivalent combination of education and experience Please note that this job description provides a high-level overview of the work performed, and other job-related duties may be assigned as required.
