Job Title: Senior Network Engineer L3 Experience: 5+ Years Position Overview: We are looking for a Level 3 Senior Network Engineer to provide expert-level support and technical leadership for enterprise network infrastructure operations. This role will serve as the highest point of escalation within the NOC/Network Operations team , working closely with the Network Architect and other cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues, implement changes, and drive stability across LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud-connected networks. You will be responsible for high-availability environments across 1000+ switches, 2000+ access points, and 17K+ network devices, including SD-WAN and Azure-integrated systems. Key Responsibilities: Act as the Level 3 escalation point for complex network incidents, performance issues, and service outages. Configure, deploy, and support Cisco Meraki switches, access points, and firewalls across multiple enterprise sites. Support and maintain SD-WAN, Metro Ethernet (ENS), and Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) circuits in coordination with ISPs and managed service providers. Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high-priority incidents involving routing, switching, wireless, and firewall issues. Manage and optimize network performance and uptime using tools such as Meraki Dashboard, Comcast ActiveCore, Azure Monitor, and other NMS solutions. Assist in network changes, firmware upgrades, and proactive health checks to ensure infrastructure reliability and security. Participate in new site setups, expansions, migrations, and hardware refreshes by deploying and validating network infrastructure components. Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, device configurations, IP address plans, and standard operating procedures. Collaborate with the Network Architect on network design initiatives, upgrades, and implementation of best practices across the organization. Provide mentorship and support to L1 and L2 engineers, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and operational alignment. Participate in change management and incident management processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and ITIL practices. Conduct packet-level analysis using tools like Wireshark or tcpdump to diagnose traffic and protocol issues. Support Azure network configurations including vNets, NSGs, VPN Gateways, and integration with on-premises infrastructure. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering and operations. Strong expertise in Cisco networking technologies, especially Meraki switches, wireless APs, and security appliances. Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols: VLAN, OSPF, BGP, STP, HSRP/VRRP, NAT, DHCP. Experience supporting SD-WAN deployments and working with ISPs for WAN connectivity and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Azure networking (vNet, NSG, VPN Gateway) is a plus. Proficiency in using monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Meraki Dashboard, Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Azure Monitor. Strong problem-solving, escalation handling, and analytical thinking abilities. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Certifications: CCNA required CCNP (Enterprise or Security) strongly preferred Azure Network or Cloud certification is a plus
