Job Description

Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate CFD developer with expertise in gas turbine combustion modeling with coding experience in High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. Role will involve developing, implementing and validating advanced numerical models to simulate complex combustion systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global users to resolve technical challenges in combustion and aerodynamics simulations.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand combustor design requirements and identify gaps in existing modeling methods.
  • Develop, implement and validate advanced computational models for combustion processes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software tools for CFD analysis (pre-processing, solver, post-processing).
  • Drive effective integration of software into design workflows, in collaboration with design community. Support the development of technical documentation and training materials.
  • Conduct research on emerging trends in computational combustion and advanced simulation techniques. Present findings and technical reports to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or Masters with 3+ years of experience in Mechanical, Aerospace or related disciplines.
  • In-depth understanding of physical process involved in at least one of the following areas: Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD), aerodynamics, combustion, spray modeling.
  • Proficiency in languages such as Python, C++ & related tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, self-learning abilities and shown track record of technical excellence
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Be flexible and adapt to work on critical priorities as per business need.
Desired Characteristics
  • Well established track record of model development in the field of combustion & spray.
  • Exposure to higher order computational combustion codes (pre-processing, solver & post-processing).
  • Exposure to GPU programming & code optimization techniques
  • Experience of using machine learning methods
  • Ability to collaborate and co-ordinate tasks involving global team members
  • Hands on experience in using commercial CFD codes.
