Job Summary: The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing cost estimates key fabricated equipment for Refinery Plant, Fractionation, Hydrogenation, Oleo Chemical, Bio Diesel, and Solvent Extraction Plants for both domestic and international projects within the Desmet India. The role requires collaboration with workshops, and internal departments to ensure accurate and competitive costing. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Obtain quotes from designated workshops for Desmets proprietary fabricated vessels (Pressure vessels, Columns, Hopper, Ducts). Revalidate prices with workshops/vendors for similar equipment to maintain cost accuracy. Conduct internal estimations for critical equipment such as Deodorizers, Bleachers, Reactors, Columns, Atmospheric Tanks, etc. Update standard pricing for Mobilizer, Winwax Filter, and Sublimator regularly. Perform weight estimations for critical equipment to assist in layout planning. Work closely with the Proposal/Sales Manager to understand requirements and provide accurate estimates. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong experience in estimating storage tanks, cylindrical vessels, pressure vessels, reactors, crystallizers, heat exchangers, pumps, boilers, gearboxes, and geared motors. The role involves independent decision-making, technical leadership, and cross-discipline coordination for the design and procurement of critical static mechanical systems. Prior experience with top EPCs like Worley, KBR, Technip, or similar is preferred. Key Responsibilities: Act as a subject matter expert in static and process equipment including but not limited to pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, storage tanks, spheres, scrubbers, reactors, and pig launchers/receivers.
