Cold Forging Machine Operator

About Us: Sathyam Fasteners Pvt. Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of high-quality fasteners and components for the automotive industry. We are expanding our cold forging operations and are looking for skilled and dedicated Cold Forging Machine Operators to join our team. Job Role: As a Cold Forging Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring double header cold forging machines to produce high-precision studs and bolts (ranging from 8mm to 12mm diameter and up to 170mm length). You will ensure efficient production, maintain quality standards, and adhere to all safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Operate and monitor double header cold forging machines according to production schedules and quality standards. Load raw material (wire/rod coils) into the machine feed mechanism. Perform basic machine adjustments (e.g., feed length, lubrication). Conduct in-process visual inspections and dimensional checks using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) to ensure parts meet specifications. Identify and report any machine malfunctions, tooling issues, or quality defects (e.g., casing breaks, burrs). Maintain a clean and organized work area. Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Assist in minor troubleshooting and routine maintenance tasks as required. Collaborate with setters and supervisors to optimize machine performance and product quality. Basic Requirements: Education: Minimum 10th Pass / 12th Pass. An ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in Fitter, Machinist, Mechanical, or a related trade is highly preferred. Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating cold forging machines, ideally double header machines. Technical Skills: Fundamental understanding of cold forging processes. Proficiency in using basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) for quality checks. Ability to identify common forging defects. Basic mechanical aptitude for minor adjustments and troubleshooting. Work Ethic: Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail. Punctual, reliable, and disciplined. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Willingness to work in 12-hour shifts. Physical Fitness: Capable of performing duties that involve standing for extended periods, lifting/moving materials, and working in a manufacturing environment.
