Growth & Retention Analyst About US: About Garden City Games: We develop free-to-play mobile and social games enjoyed by millions worldwide. The Bangalore-based studio employs over 100 talented professionals to create exceptional games for phones, tablets, and desktops. Previously known as PopReach, Garden City Games was established by prominent figures in the mobile gaming industry. It oversees popular intellectual properties such as Smurfs Village, War of Nations, Kingdoms of Camelot, and Kitchen Scramble, which have garnered over 400 million lifetime downloads. Role Summary: We are looking for a highly analytical and data-driven Growth & Retention Analyst to drive user acquisition, retention, and monetization strategies. You will play a key role in uncovering actionable insights that fuel business growth through in-depth analysis, user segmentation, and metric tracking. This role will collaborate closely with product, marketing, and data teams to improve the customer lifecycle and influence business outcomes. Key Responsibilities • User Acquisition & Retention Strategy Design, implement, and evaluate acquisition and retention tracking initiatives. Partner with marketing and product teams to define and measure success metrics. Analyze user funnels, engagement patterns, and churn drivers. • Cohort and Lifecycle Analysis Create and maintain cohort-based dashboards and reports. Identify behavioral trends, LTV, and drop-off patterns by acquisition source, channel, or feature usage. Recommend data-backed interventions to optimize activation and retention. • Data Exploration & Visualization Build scalable dashboards and reports using tools like QlikView , Power BI , or Tableau. Enable decision-making through intuitive and impactful visual storytelling. • SQL & Metric Analytics Write efficient, complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and join large datasets. Conduct ad-hoc and structured deep dives to track KPIs such as DAU, WAU, MAU, retention, ARPU, and CAC:LTV. • ARM Metrics Framework Lead analyses across Acquisition , Retention , and Monetization touchpoints. Work with cross-functional stakeholders to map ARM metrics to business strategies. Requirements 25 years of experience in analytics, product, or growth-related roles. Deep expertise in cohort analysis , customer segmentation, and lifecycle optimization. Proficiency with SQL and hands-on experience in data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView). Strong understanding of ARM metrics and performance marketing KPIs. Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear, concise, and actionable way. Bonus: experience with Python, R, or growth experimentation tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Optimizely). What Youll Do: Campaign Execution: Plan and execute targeted communication campaigns via Email, WhatsApp, SMS, RCS , and other channels. Tool Mastery: Use platforms like MoEngage, Clevertap , or similar tools for campaign setup, execution, and performance tracking. Data-Driven Insights: Analyze key performance metrics like CTR, conversions, and user engagement to optimize future campaigns. Cohort Management: Build and analyze user cohorts to drive personalized communications and improve retention. Cross-Category Execution: Coordinate campaigns across different product categories (FDs, Bonds, etc.) ensuring relevance and timeliness. A/B Testing: Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to improve messaging and campaign effectiveness. What Were Looking For: 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in fintech or consumer tech. Hands-on experience with MoEngage, Clevertap , or similar marketing automation tools. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable campaigns. Solid understanding of user behavior , cohort analysis , and conversion funnels . Familiarity with multi-channel communication strategies (Email, WhatsApp, SMS, etc.). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
