You will be joining our team as a compassionate and skilled Music Therapist with a background in Psychology, focusing on working with children in a non-medical product development capacity. Your primary responsibility will involve utilizing music-based interventions to support children's emotional, cognitive, and psychological development. Your key responsibilities will include assessing children's emotional, cognitive, and psychological needs through music-based evaluation, developing and implementing personalized music therapy plans to address individual developmental goals, and employing various musical techniques like songwriting, improvisation, guided listening, and movement-based activities to facilitate emotional expression and learning in children. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, educators, and product developers, will be essential to create comprehensive approaches for product development. Monitoring and documenting child progress, staying abreast of the latest research and advancements in music therapy and psychology, and upholding ethical and professional standards in therapy practices will also be part of your role. The qualifications we are looking for include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy or a related field, certification as a Music Therapist (MT-BC or equivalent) is preferred, a solid understanding of psychological principles and therapeutic interventions, proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument, and experience working with children in educational or developmental settings.
