As a Sr. Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be a part of the Engineering Group, specifically in the Software Applications Engineering team. With 4-7 years of experience, you will contribute to the development of innovative and high-quality audio solutions in the audio technology industry. Your role will involve supporting Qualcomm IoT customer projects for Audio technology, gathering requirement details for new projects, and understanding Audio SW architecture, including Audio Middleware, Audio HAL, and Audio Flinger. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining Linux audio drivers and applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to expedite solutions to customer problems, troubleshooting and resolving complex audio-related issues, and integrating audio solutions with hardware and software teams. Additionally, you will mentor and guide junior developers, stay updated with the latest advancements in Linux audio technologies, and ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team. To excel in this role, you should have 4-7 years of experience in Android Audio framework, ALSA Audio drivers, and DSP, along with strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python. You should also possess extensive experience with ALSA, PulseAudio, JACK, and other Linux audio frameworks, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Familiarity with TDM/PCM/I2S/PDM/Slimbus/Soundwire Audio Hardware Interfaces, Digital Microphones, Amplifiers, and Audio Codecs is advantageous. Moreover, you are expected to have in-depth knowledge of Linux kernel internals, experience in kernel module development and debugging, and familiarity with kernel subsystems related to audio. Proficiency in version control systems like Git is essential. A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, along with relevant work experience, is required.
