You will be responsible for the design of Refrigeration and Air conditioning products, taking into consideration Cost, Manufacturability, Serviceability, Regulatory Compliance, CODE requirements, and safety. It is essential to work closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Marketing, Sourcing, and Testing to facilitate the transition of products from design to manufacturing. Participation in DFMEA, PPAPs, DFMA & RCFA may be required as part of the job responsibilities. Reviewing 2D/3D designs to ensure compliance with standards and best practices is a crucial aspect of the role. Leading and coordinating design reviews, ensuring approvals from all relevant cross-functional teams, will be a key responsibility. You will be expected to develop concept designs related to sheet metal and plastics using advanced design methodologies and techniques. Advanced detailing, redrawing, lettering, and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies, and engineering change orders are also part of the job scope. Additionally, contributing design modifications to enhance product quality and functionality will be essential. Ensuring that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain product style is an important aspect of the role. This role requires a high degree of flexibility and the ability to drive design activities with limited supervision. The qualification for this position includes a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Expert knowledge of SolarEdge/Teamcenter software techniques and tools, experience in sheet metal and tubing manufacturing (including tooling and fixtures), and familiarity with PLM systems such as SAP and Teamcenter are preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration within the team. Prior knowledge of refrigeration will be advantageous for this role.,
