Description The QC - Coating Inspector will be responsible for inspecting coating applications on various surfaces to ensure they meet specified quality standards. The role involves evaluating the quality of coatings, identifying defects, and collaborating with production teams to maintain high-quality output. Responsibilities Conduct inspections of coatings on various surfaces to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Evaluate and document the quality of coating applications, including thickness measurements and surface preparation. Identify defects or inconsistencies in coatings and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with production teams to ensure adherence to quality control processes and procedures. Assist in the development and implementation of inspection protocols and quality assurance procedures. Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections conducted. Skills and Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in coating inspection or a related field. Knowledge of various coating materials and their properties. Familiarity with inspection techniques and equipment, such as dry film thickness gauges and adhesion testers. Understanding of industry standards and regulations related to coatings (e.g., ISO, ASTM). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify defects and ensure quality compliance. Good communication skills to effectively convey inspection results and collaborate with team members. Proficiency in using computer software for documentation and reporting purposes.
