As a candidate for the position, your primary responsibility will be to set and achieve inspection targets according to the plan. You will be required to monitor the blasting process meticulously, including aspects such as air pressure, abrasive contamination, moisture content, humidity, surface temperature, and surface profile using methods like replica tape and salt contamination tests. Additionally, you will oversee the painting process by conducting both destructive and non-destructive tests like DFT, crosscut, pull-off adhesion test, and pinhole detection. It will be your duty to ensure the proper handling of materials to minimize rework and coordinate with other departments for various painting-related activities in the production department. Maintaining a strict adherence to safety procedures across all levels, preparing documentation, implementing IMS and KAIZEN, meeting customer quality requirements while reducing costs, and communicating with coating vendors for technical queries are also key aspects of this role. Furthermore, you will be expected to manage industrial relations to foster a harmonious work environment, maintain shop floor discipline, and ensure compliance with safe working practices. Documenting and recording ongoing blasting/painting parameters in the inspection report will be part of your routine tasks. To qualify for this position, you should possess 4 to 6 years of relevant experience and have a deep understanding of surface preparation, blasting, and painting processes. Knowledge of various coating materials and their application processes, experience in IMS and KAIZEN implementation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines are essential requirements. A background in Process Equipment is also preferred. This position is based in Pune and requires a Diploma in Paint Technology or Surface Coating with a mandatory 4 to 7 years of experience.,
