Technical Expertise : Provide expert advice on mining geology to support the development of regulatory frameworks and mining policies. Research and Analysis : Conduct thorough research and analysis on regional mining industry trends, opportunities, and challenges. Investment Attraction : Develop and implement programs to attract investment into the mining sector and foster the development of new mining projects. Stakeholder Collaboration : Collaborate with mining companies, investors, and local communities to promote sustainable mining practices and build strong relationships. Performance Metrics : Establish and implement performance metrics to track progress, providing regu lar updates to regulatory bodies. Thought Leadership : Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, and intellectual property related to mining geology and industry innovations. What We're looking for Education : Bachelor's degree in geology, mining engineering, or a related field; masters preferred. Experience : Minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience in the mining industry, preferably in consulting. Technical Expertise : In-depth knowledge of mining geology, including exploration, resource evaluation, and mine development. Familiarity with JORC code regulatory requirements is essential. Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make informed decisions to optimize mining operations. Communication Skills : Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Teamwork and Project Management : Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously Travel : Willingness to travel, as needed, for extensive durations.
