Project Shoosh is a first-of-a-kind initiative to create a Google Maps of noise data. Noise Pollution is a serious health hazard that contributes to hearing loss, cardiovascular problems, sleep disturbances, and mental health issues. In India's densely populated cities, millions are exposed to dangerous levels of noise daily. More than 7% of the population suffer from some sort of hearing loss, and it is growing due to honking, machinery, and construction. Let's turn down the volume and amplify the change! Ideal candidate: Project Shoosh is a chance to be part of something truly impactful. We're looking for someone with a passion for this problem and some basic tech skills to join our team. More importantly, we need someone with a great attitude, a willingness to learn and experiment, and the drive to take this project to new heights. What You'll Do (and Learn): - Data Collection & Analysis: Contribute to gathering and analyzing noise data, helping us build a comprehensive noise database and map. - Tech Integration: Work with existing technologies and explore new tools to visualize and present noise data effectively. - Community Engagement: Help us connect with communities and raise awareness about noise pollution. - Innovation & Experimentation: Bring your ideas to the table and help us explore new ways to expand the project's reach and impact. This project may or may not become a business, but its impact is undeniable. You'll be contributing to a vital resource that empowers communities, informs policy, and ultimately improves the lives of millions.,
