Co-founder (Fashion Designer)

You will be joining Buzzzest, a fashion brand that specializes in made-to-measure clothing and personalized styling recommendations, as one of the Co-founder & COO. Your role will involve managing clothing operations from scratch, developing strategies, and overseeing the design division. Your responsibilities will include translating design concepts into technical sketches, creating patterns, sourcing materials, and ensuring the quality and fit of garments. Additionally, you will be required to stay updated on fashion trends and construction techniques while building the personal fashion styling business. Key Responsibilities: - Develop new fashion collections in line with brand aesthetics and market trends. - Translate design concepts and sketches into technical flats and specifications. - Develop and grade patterns for different garment sizes with accuracy and fit. - Source high-quality materials based on design requirements. - Oversee sample production, conduct fit sessions, and make pattern adjustments. - Stay informed about current fashion trends and garment construction techniques. - Collaborate with co-founders to build the personal fashion styling business. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field. - 2-3 years of experience as a Fashion Designer focusing on patternmaking. - Ability to translate design concepts into technical sketches and patterns. - Proficiency in patternmaking techniques, grading, and fit. - Knowledge of CAD and other fashion design software. - Understanding of garment construction and fabric varieties. - Strong portfolio demonstrating design and patternmaking skills. In addition to the job responsibilities and qualifications, it is important to note that the compensation for this position will be in the form of equity in the business, rather than a traditional salary.
