CNC Operator

Job Summary

The CNC Operator in the air dryer manufacturing sector is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision components used in compressed air dryers, such as housings, end covers, heat exchanger parts, and mounting components, in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Lathe / VMC / HMC machines for machining air dryer components
• Set up machines, load raw materials (aluminum, MS, SS), and install tools
• Read and interpret technical drawings, tolerances, and process sheets
• Machine parts like dryer bodies, flanges, brackets, valve blocks, and covers
• Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy, surface finish, and dimensions
• Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges
• Perform in-process and final inspection as per quality requirements
• Make minor tool offsets and parameter adjustments when required
• Maintain machine cleanliness and carry out routine preventive maintenance
• Record production data and report deviations or machine issues
• Follow safety procedures, 5S, and ISO quality standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, CNC Machining, Fitter, Turner (preferred)
• Experience or knowledge of CNC Lathe and VMC operations
• Basic understanding of G-code and M-code (advantage)
• Familiarity with aluminum and stainless steel machining
• Ability to work with close tolerances and quality standards
• Willingness to work in shifts

Industry Knowledge (Preferred)

• Understanding of compressed air systems and air dryer components
• Awareness of leak-proof machining and surface finish requirements
• Knowledge of assembly fitments used in refrigeration or desiccant air dryers

Work Environment

• Manufacturing shop floor (Air Dryer / Compressor accessories industry)
• Exposure to precision machining and quality inspection activities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹29,589.15 per month
